My favorite bouquet, fresh Italian parsley. One bundle of fresh parsley from the local grocery store resides on my kitchen windowsill, brightening up a gray winter landscape. Later a handful of the same parsley brightens up a bubbling dish of scalloped potatoes at our dinner table. You can't beat that with a bouquet of roses, can you?

Hold on. You put them in a jar on your windowsill?
I just throw mine in the crisper drawer, still in the plastic bag.
Hmmm. I have some cilantro... great idea. And another duh moment from me.
I have to admit I am more fond of edible things than of flowers! While I love flowers, to know something is useful is of prime importance to me. What a beautiful bouquet!
So pretty--I never would have thought of that!
More Pantry Primers please! I'm on the edge of my seat for the next one! =)
Love you!!
